Original - "Mother of Mercy" Painting

"Mother of Mercy" is an original acrylic.

A year ago, I started working on this painting I had a vision of 4 years prior. There has been a strong need for not only awareness but assistance and mothering eyes to help prevent and save the victims and their families who have been affected by human trafficking.

We all have been affected, if not personally, but friends or family members. Even if you don't know someone, no one should have to ever endure what these children and people have. The fact it is the largest issue this world faces, means we need to do more.

This painting depicts the Blessed Mother holding onto all those children and souls who have been hurt and killed at the hands of heartless souls. They will be forever protected and loved, but it doesn't stop there.

We do what we can here in our local communities. For me, this morning, I finished the call to complete "Mother of Mercy" and a portion of the sale of the original and all prints will be donated to my city's own nonprofit, The Open Door Network, the only family homeless shelter in Kern County supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

For peace and protection, here is the Flame of Love Prayer with the Hail Mary Prayer… that blinds Satan and all the evil spirits. I pray it daily and when things seem to be chaotic, peace comes.

“Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee,
blessed are Thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
spread the effect of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all of humanity,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”
